Missy Elliot, Taylor Swift, Others Win Big At MTV Video Music Awards (Full List)

The thirty-eight edition of MTV Video Music Awards started on an electrical efficiency with Taylor Swift’s new songs You Have to Calm Down.

Naija News understands that the American singer took two trophies home among other winners like Missy Elliot, Cardi B  Cabello, and Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus.

Also during the Video Music Awards, Missy Elliott received the Video Vanguard Award, while Marc Jacobs was presented with the inaugural Fashion Trailblazer Award.

The stars of The Sopranos, John Travolta, Lenny Kravitz, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jonathan Van Ness, Keke Palmer, Lindsey Vonn, Rick Ross, Salt-N-Pepa and Ice-T were among the many presenters at the 2019 Video Music Awards.

Heading into the 2019 VMAs, Grande and Swift were tied with the most nominations, with 10 each. Watch some of the nominated videos here.

The Award ceremony was held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for the first time and it was hosted by Sebastian Maniscalco.
