1. Buhari: Presidency Explains Abba Kyari, SGF Mustapha Roles

The Presidency has explained the different roles played by President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha.

Naija News recalls that reactions had trailed Buhari’s directive to new Minister to always submit any request meant for him to his Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari and all executive matters to Boss Gida Mustapha.

2. 2023 Presidency: Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB Working Against Igbo Presidency – Deji Adeyanju

The Co-convener of Concerned Nigerian, Deji Adeyanju, has accused the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, of working against Igbo presidency in 2023.

Adeyanju, a human rights activists, was reacting to Kanu’s directive that IPOB members should attack President Muhammadu Buhari in Japan.

3. Some People Want To Crush ‘Naive’ Tinubu – Mailafia

A former Deputy Governor of Central of Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Obadiah Mailafia, has disclosed that some people want to use and crush the National Chairman of the APC, Bola Tinubu, who he described as “abjectly naive.

The former CBN boss stated that Tinubu has the right to aspire to become president but the north is unwilling to relinquish power.

4. Soyinka Sends Strong Warning To President Buhari

Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, has warned the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari against unleashing security operatives on Nigerians when they gather to exchange ideas.

Soyinka made this known while speaking in Badagry on Saturday at the unveiling of an art gallery in commemoration of his 85th birthday.

5. Why Saudi Arabia Is Set To Execute 23 Nigerians

The Saudi Arabia Government has announced that 23 Nigerians are on death roll over drug-related offences.

6. 2023 Presidency: IPOB Working Against Igbo Presidency – Balarabe Musa

The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Balarabe Musa, has accused the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) of working against South-east presidency in 2023.

In a statement to newsmen, Balarabe Musa stated that IPOB is creating enemies for the South-east in their push for the presidency.

7. Ignore Ihedioha’s Petition Against Me, Okorocha Tells IGP

Senator Rochas Okorocha has told the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu to disregard the petition against him submitted by the Governor Emeka Ihedioha-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement by his Media Aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, the former governor of Imo State said the letter was “deceitful”.

8. Why Igbo, Yoruba May Not Get 2023 Presidency – Shehu Sani

Shehu Sani has advised the South-East and South-West to collaborate if they want to wrestle power from the North in the 2023 Presidential Election.

Speaking in Abuja on Saturday at an interactive session organised by the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, the former Senator said the 2023 Presidency may elude Igbos and Yorubas if they are not united.

9. Five Abducted In Kaduna

Unknown gunmen on Saturday abducted five persons at Danbushiya Village in Malali, North of Kaduna State.

Naija News gathered that the gunmen, who were in military uniform, blocked the access road to the Babatunde Fashola Housing Estate and intercepted a Honda Accord with Reg. No. LND 753 AL and five other vehicles where they kidnapped seven persons.

10. VAR: FIFA May Replace Linesmen With Robots

World football governing body, FIFA are exploring the possibility of scrapping the use of linesmen and replacing them with the Video Assistant Referees.
