Stray Bullet From Police Kills Man In Lagos

A stray bullet from a yet to be identified police officer has killed in Shogunle area of Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city.

Naija News learned that the stray bullet snuffed life out of the man identified as Waliu Dauda, on Sunday night, August 25.

This online news platform understands that late Dauda was a chair renter, who had gone to park the chairs he rented out to a church, at about 8 pm, when the sad incident occurred.

A report by Vanguard Newspaper quoted eyewitnesses to have said that the church located at Bello street, had a special programme where some dignitaries who came with police escorts were invited.

The report said one of the police officers fired some shots into the air while leading unnamed dignitary out of the church premises but unfortunately, Dauda, was hit by the bullet, killing him on the spot.
