2. Lawmaker Kidnapped In Sokoto State By Suspected Hoodlums

The lawmaker representing Denge/Shuni State Constituency at the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Aminu Magaji Bodai, has been kidnapped. According to a report from a close relation of the lawmaker, he was kidnapped by hoodlums around 1:15 am between Dange and Bodai town on Thursday.

The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, on Wednesday, charged Nigerians to provide the government with useful information that will help it put an end to the security challenges in the country. The former Osun Governor made this call while speaking at a reception organised in his honour by some of his associates later in the day in Abuja.

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Thursday, dismissed the petition by the Hope Democratic Party (HDP) and its candidate, Ambrose Owuru.
