The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nigeria’s electoral umpire, has released a timeline for conduct of Kogi and Bayelsa governorship primaries.

Naija News reports that INEC released the timeline in a circular posted on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Thursday night, August 22.

The timetable sighted by Naija News shows that the start date for the conduct of primaries and resolution of all matters or disputes has been slated for August 18, 2019.

A statement by INEC said the end date for the conduct of primaries and resolution of all matters or disputes has been scheduled for September 5, 2019.

While the end date for the submission of lists of candidates and their Personal Particulars (INEC Forms CF001 and CF002) has been slated September 9, 2019.

The statement noted that: “Parties are enjoined to ensure compliance with these timelines as no extension or late submission will be entertained.”
