1. Police Re-arrest Taraba ‘Kidnap Kingpin’ Hamisu Wadume
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) on Tuesday confirmed the re-arrest on notorious Taraba State kidnap kingpin, Alhaji Hamisu Bala Wadume.
In a statement sent to Naija News and signed by the NPF Spokesperson, Frank Mba, the Police disclosed that Wadume was re-arrested in the late hours of Monday in his hideout at Layin Mai Allo Hotoro area of Kano State.
2. INEC Server: Supreme Court Takes Major Decision Against Atiku, PDP
An appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its 2019 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has been dismissed by the Supreme Court.
The appeal marked SC/815/2019, sought to reverse the decision by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, rejecting their (Atiku and PDP) request to inspect an alleged central server used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the last presidential election.
3. EFCC Raids Ambode’s Residence
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, stormed the Epe residence of Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.

4. $40m Jewelleries: Diezani Kicks EFCC Over Illegal Entry Into Apartment
Former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, has questioned the seizure of $40m worth of jewelries from her house by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
In an affidavit filed on her behalf by her counsel, Prof Awa Kalu (SAN), Diezani, who is currently in the United Kingdom, alleged that the EFCC violated her fundamental “right to own property and to appropriate them at her discretion,” under sections 43 and 44 of the constitution.
5. What EFCC Said About Raid On Ambode’s House
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reacted to the news that its operatives on Tuesday, raided the Epe residence of former Lagos governor, Akinwumi Ambode.
The anti-graft agency submitted that what happened is not a raid, but confirmed the former governor is under investigation.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday struck out an appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its 2019 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
A five-man panel led by Justice Datijo Mohammed, struck out the appeal for having become statute-barred.
8. Fowler Replies Buhari’s Query Over Discrepancies In Tax Collections
Babatunde Fowler, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), has replied the query given by the presidency over alleged discrepancies in tax collections from 2015 to 2018
Speaking on the reason for discrepancies in tax collections, Fowler explained, non-oil revenue such as VAT and company income tax — which he said are within the control of FIRS — have been on the increase compared to pre-2015 figures.
9. Epe Residents Protest Raid On Ambode’s House, As Ex-Governor Reacts
Some resident of Epe have stopped the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from the raid of the residence of immediate past Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode.

Notorious Taraba State kidnap kingpin, Alhaji Hamisu Bala Wadume, who was re-arrested on Monday, has revealed details of his escape.
Before his arrest, Wadume was a ‘high profile’ kidnapping suspect arrested by the police on August 6 and was driven to Jalingo by the police team when soldiers opened fire on them along Ibi-Wukari Road.
