Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has fixed Tuesday to inaugurate the state’s Executive Council.
The Lagos State House of Assembly had last Friday concluded the screening of nominees for positions of commissioners and special advisers.
In a statement on Sunday, the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Gboyega Akosile, disclosed that Sanwo-Olu fixed Tuesday to inaugurate the state Executive Council.
The DCPS stated that the governor revealed the date when he received members of the Association of Lagos State Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries.
“Next week, by God’s grace, we are swearing in all other complements of cabinet and also permanent secretaries to have the engine of governance in full swing.
“At that point, we believe that all the campaign promises we made can come to reality and Lagosians can benefit more from the choice they made at the last election,” Sanwo-Olu said.
The statement also revealed that portfolios will be assigned to different cabinet members during the inauguration on Tuesday.
