What My Father Told Me In India – El-Zakzaky’s Daughter

Suhaila Zakzaky, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky‘s daughter has stated that her father is suffering from lead and cadmium poisoning.

Recall that the IMN leader had earlier refused treatment from those he described as  “unknown doctors” who were available to treat him in India.

He argued that he only wants to be treated by those booked to treat him and his wife before he left Nigeria.

While speaking with the BBC yesterday on the recent development, Ms Zakzaky who stated that she spoke with her father said, he was not happy that his room is being surrounded by armed policemen and his prefered doctors are not allowed to treat him.

According to her, “He told me that he no longer feels safe and might choose to leave India.

“I am really worried for my father, especially because of the lead and cadmium poisoning.

“His doctors say if he gets to a certain level his organs could start failing and that’s really scary because that means he could just die at any moment,” she said.

Suhaila added that the poisoning in her father’s body may be the shrapnel in his body “from when he was shot in 2015 when the Nigerian army raided our home”.

According to her, an operation was conducted recently on her father’s eye to remove shrapnel lodged in one of his eyes but his sight had been declining ever since.

Recall that the Nigerian government had apologised to India for the sheikh’s “unruly behavior in the country”.
