APC Will Survive Beyond 2023 – Speaker

A popular chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi has disclosed that the party is not at risk beyond 2023.

Alhaji Abdullahi, who is the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, disclosed that by the time President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure ends in 2023, the party will have a solid foundation and a template which will make it survive beyond the President’s stay in office.

The Speaker said this during an interview with newsmen on Wednesday in his country home, Umaisha, Nasarawa State, NAN reports.

He said: “By the end of President Buhari’s tenure, I assure you he will have already laid a solid foundation for the party, the country and whoever is coming will follow his foot step.

“Buhari is one person that will not like to impose anybody on Nigerians in 2023.

“We are going to assess individual basis and it is going to be based on integrity so that whoever can enter Buhari’s shoes, we will go for him.”

“So, I can assure you that infact APC will survive beyond 2023, there is no doubt about it.”

Abdullahi also assured people of his constituents of more benefits from his representation as he would influence more government presence in the area.

“This is my second tenure. My plan is to impact positively on the lives of my constituents and the state at large.

“To influence more government presence to my constituency, all of these is to ensure that my second tenure achievements surpass my first tenure success stories,” he said.
