1. El-Zakzaky Arrives India For Medical Treatment

Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky on Tuesday landed in Delhi, the capital city of India for medical treatment.

He was received by medical doctors and wheeled into the hospital.

2. Buhari Gives CBN New Directive On Food Importation

Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s president has asked the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to stop providing foreign exchange for food importation.

Naija News understands that this was made known in a statement issued on Tuesday by the presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu.

3. Only APC Members Will Be Appointed In My Cabinet – Oyetola

The Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola, has revealed that only members of the All Progressives Congress would make his cabinet.

Gov. Oyetola while speaking with newsmen at Iragbiji, however, stated that ideas from the oppositions that would help make the state better would not be rejected.

4. PDP Chairman Declares Support For RUGA Settlement, Cites Reasons

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition has declared support for the establishment of the Rural Grazing Areas (RUGA) programme of the Federal Government.

Naija News understands that the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT) of the PDP, Sen. Walid Jibrin made this known on Tuesday.

5. EFCC: Ex-Kwara First Lady Denies Involvement In N2bn Fraud

Lanre Bello, Executive Director Leah Group has reacted to a story allegedly linking a former Kwara First Lady to the N2bn fraud in the Kwara State Small and Medium Scale Enterprises Directorate (SMED) fund.

This is as some publications (not Naija News) had previously touted that the former first lady may be arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection with investigations into fraud on the 2bn fund.

6. Joe Igbokwe, 12 Others Included As Sanwo-Olu Sends New Cabinet List To State Assembly

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Tuesday, transmitted the final list of nominees for his cabinet to the State House of Assembly.

The second list is coming four weeks after the Governor sent the first batch of his nominees to the lawmakers for screening.

7. RUGA Settlement Is The Best Option For Wandering Fulani Herdsmen – Bagudu

The Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, has stated that the RUGA settlement programme by the Federal Government remains the best option for settling Fulani herdsmen in a permanent location and enhance livestock production in the country.

The Governor stated this while giving newsmen a tour around some Fulani settlements in Jega Local Government Area on Tuesday.

8. Taraba Killings: DHQ Panel Arrests Two Police Men, Five Soldiers

The panel set up by the Defence Headquarters to investigate the unfortunate clash between soldiers and policemen in Taraba State has ordered some arrests.

It was gathered that two policemen working at Ibi Police Division have been arrested by the panel for allegedly revealing information to the kidnap kingpin, Alhaji Hamisu Wadume.

9. Rape Allegation: PFN Set To Submit Report On Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo

Following the rape allegation levelled against the senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Biodun Fatoyinbo, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria has revealed that it will submit its report on the investigation of the rape allegation this week.

Recall that the Christain Association of Nigeria had given the PFN two weeks to submit a report on the rape allegation levelled against pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo by Mrs Busola Dakolo.

10. Nigerian Army Launches New MRAP Cars In War Against Boko Haram

The Nigerian Army has deployed four newly acquired Mine Resistant Anti-Ambush Personnel (MRAP) Vehicles in a deliberate attempt to tackle insurgency in some parts of the country.

Naija News understands that the latest move by the Nigerian Army is not unconnected to the theatre of counter-insurgency operations in the Northeast.
