Confusion At Uwelu Motor Spare Parts Market As Fire Engulfs Shops

A fire incident has destroyed about one hundred shops at the Uwelu motor spare parts market in Egor Local Government Area, Benin City, Edo State.

The Chairman of the Motor Spare Parts Association, Uwelu branch, Ibie Osaretin, confirmed the incident on Monday.

He told newsmen that the fire broke out around 11:00 pm on Monday, and that they were unable to cart their goods from the shops before the fire spread.

Osaretin appealed to the government to help the traders recover their loss.

Vice-Chairman of Egor LGA assured the traders that the government would intervene in their predicament.
