El-Zakzaky, Wife Set To Travel To India

Leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), popularly known as Shiites, Shiekh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky has arrived at the Abuja international airport, Naija News gathered.

He is also said to be in the company of his wife Zeenat and they may soon be jetting out of the country for India to receive medical attention.

As earlier reported by Naija News, El-Zakzaky and his wife were previously on Sunday, moved from where they were held in custody in Kaduna to Abuja.

Recall Justice Darius Khobo of the Kaduna state High Court had on 5th August, granted the embattled leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky leave to travel out for treatment.

In granting the order, Justice Khobo gave El-Zakzaky and his wife Zeenat leave to travel to India for medical attention. He, however, added that the trip will be under the supervision of the state.

After the court order, the Department of State Services (DSS) in a statement released by its spokesperson, Peter Afunanya disclosed it is already working to ensure their release from detention in compliance with the court order.
