President Muhammadu Buhari and his Guinean counterpart, Alpha Conde, on Friday evening arrived Katsina State for the Eid-el- Kabir celebrations expected to hold between August 11 and 12. Naija News reports that the presidential jet conveying the two leaders torched down at Malam Umar Musa Yar’adua Airport at about a minute past five o’clock in the evening.

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 elections, Atiku Abubakar has stated that sacrifice to God for the good of others is the Spirit of Eid al-Adha. The former Vice President made this known in a statement sent to Naija News on Saturday morning.

3. Mob Kills Policeman For Shooting Pregnant Woman

An angry mob on Saturday killed a policeman and injured two others after they (Police) allegedly shot dead a tailor. Naija News reports that some operatives of the Special Anti-Kidnapping Squad gunned down the shop owner, identified as Biliki, in the Ijegun area of Lagos during an operation to apprehend alleged kidnappers.

The Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, Peter Obi, has rejected reports that the United States denied him a visa to the country. The former Anambra State governor made this known in a statement through his media adviser, Valentine Obienyem on Saturday.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has said the reason lashed out on Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s President over his alleged refusal to declare the Fulani herdsmen as terrorists.
