According to BBC, Manchester United might miss out on signing Christian Eriksen, as the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder prefers a move to Spain.

The Spurs midfielder has less than a year on his contract with the English Premier League side and has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Ahead of the Thursday transfer deadline, United have decided to move on to other targets.

With the Eriksen deal called off, Zinedine Zidane, who has been desperate to sign Pogba might look the other way.

Los Blancos still has the opportunity to sign the World Cup winner up until September 2, which is when the Spanish window closes.

The Red Devils will be reluctant to sell Pogba, should they not be able to replace him before Thursday.

Spurs’ options to replace Eriksen include Philippe Coutinho on loan from Barcelona and Paulo Dybala from Juventus.
