NSCDC Commence Psychological Assessment For 940 Personnel
A psychological assessment for 940 personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps engaged in counter-insurgency operations in Borno State commenced on Wednesday.
The Commandant of the state corps, Abdullahi Ibrahim, stated at the inauguration of the exercise that it was aimed at addressing issues of trauma and improving the health status of the personnel.
He further stated that the exercise would expose the security personnel to seek the intervention of psycho-social needs.
Ibrahim outlined the attributes of good security personnel to include intelligence, personality, emotional stability, job satisfaction, tolerance, self-confidence and initiative.
“The assessment exercise will go a long way toward enhancing the cordial relationship between NSCDC’s personnel, sister security organisations and the people”.
In his statement, he claimed that the exercise would be conducted periodically in all its formations in the state.
