EFCC Arrests 29 Suspected Cyber Criminals

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Ibadan Zonal office have arrested 29 suspects of internet-related offences.

Naija News understands that the Nigeria’s anti-graft agency in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital says the suspects were arrested at Akoto Estate, Elebu area of the Oyo state.

The arrest was made during an early morning raid carried out by operatives of the Commission.

This online news platform comes after the team had conducted a series of surveillance, working on strings of intelligence gathered on the activities of the suspected ‘Yahoo Boys’ in the vicinity.

Among the items recovered from the suspects are; eight exotic cars, many costly phones and laptops of several varieties as well as documents suspected to be used for their illicit dealings.

The suspects will, however, be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
