Ahead of the 2019/2020 football season, the list of the highest-paid players based on their annual salaries has emerged.

According to Goal, Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, sits on top of the list with €40 million (£36m/$44.6m) and he’s followed by Paris Saint Germain player, Neymar.

Juventus superstar player, Cristiano Ronaldo comes third on the list after moving away from Real Madrid to Italy in 2018.
