The Police have beefed up security in and around Oko Prison in Benin, Edo State following an attempt by some people to bomb the facility.

It was gathered by Naija News that the suspects attempted to use Improvised Explosive Device, (IED) to bomb the building and rescue some arrested kidnappers held in the prison. However, the special police detective squad acting on intelligence report, moved in to foil the attack on the prison, resulting in the arrest of some suspects.
