2023: Atiku Does Not Have Same Electoral Value As Buhari

Atiku’s Team Wants Buhari To Produce WAEC Certificate

Atiku Abubakar, the 2019 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reacted to the decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari to close its defence at the presidential tribunal.

Paul Ibe, media aide to Atiku took to Twitter on Thursday to express his view on the decision by APC and Buhari.

As earlier reported by Naija News, Buhari and APC the 2nd and 3rd respondents respectively in the petition by Atiku and the PDP, closed their defence on Thursday.

Buhari used only 3 days of the expected 6 days during which his team called seven witnesses and tendered documents before closing their case before the tribunal.

Buhari was expected to produce more witnesses but his legal team, led by Wole Olanipekun (SAN) and lead lawyer to the APC, Lateef Fagbemi announced the intentions to close their defence when they appeared before the tribunal on Thursday.

Reacting to the development, Ibe posited that the question about Buhari’s WAEC certificate was not answered.

He tweeted, “Buhari beats a retreat, quickly closes his case at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. The APC just like INEC fails to call any witness, closes its own case.

“It is a new month but the age-long question remains #WhereIsBuharisCertificate?”
