1. Tribunal Sacks PDP National Assembly Member, Replaces Him With APC Candidate

The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Akure, the capital of Ondo state has sacked Ikengboju Gboluga as the member representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives. Gboluga was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

2. Supreme Court Sacks APC National Assembly Member For Forgery

The Supreme Court on Tuesday, sacked Mustapha Usman, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Yola South/Yola North/Girei Federal Constituency of Adamawa State. Naija News reports Usman represents his constituency in the House on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

3. Gov Ihedioha Of Imo State Wins At Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has ruled in favour of Governor Emeka Ihedioha in the case instituted against him on his emergence as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate. Samuel Nnaemeke Anyanwu had gone to court to challenge Ihedioha’s emergence as the PDP candidate in Imo State during the last governorship election.

4. Supreme Court Fixes Date To Hear Atiku’s INEC Server Claim

The Supreme Court has fixed August 20, 2019, to hear an application filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party and its Presidential candidate in the 2019 Presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, challenging the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal’s rejection of their request to access the INEC “central server”. Naija News recalls that the former Vice President and his party had prayed the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to grant them access to inspect the central server allegedly used by INEC to transmit results during the 2019 general elections.

5. Buhari Presents Documents At Presidential Election Tribunal

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, presented 26 documents as he opened his defence at the 2019 presidential election petition tribunal. The documents presented by Buhari include copies of his academic credentials, comprising certified true copy (CTC) of the Confidential result sheet of the University of Cambridge, West Africa School Certificate 1961 for Provincial Secondary School, Katsina.

6. Atiku vs Buhari: Senior Official Confirms President’s WAEC Result

A senior official of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has confirmed the authenticity of the copy of the University of Cambridge school certificate tendered by President Buhari on Tuesday. This happened when the official, Oshindeinde Henry Adewunmi appeared on Wednesday before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal as a witness for President Muhammadu Buhari.
