Arsenal are reported to have made significant progress in their effort to sign Celtic defender, Kieran Tierney before the current transfer window closes.

The gunners have not hidden their interest in bringing the Scotland international to the Emirates Stadium but have seen previous bids rejected by his current club.

However, Naija News understands Arsenal hope to complete the signing of Kieran Tierney this week – after agreeing to restructure their £25million bid in the hope it will persuade Celtic to accept.

Several outlets in Europe are reporting that Arsenal have agreed to pay Celtic’s £25m asking price for Tierney, breaking it down into £20m upfront, £5m in guaranteed installments and another £1m anytime Arsenal qualify for the Champions League in the duration of his original contract (next 5yrs) + 15% sell-on clause.

The deal is expected to be confirmed before the current week runs out.
