Governor Fintiri Loses Father

Report reaching Naija News says that Governor of Adamawa state, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has lost his father.

The 82-year-old father, Alhaji Umaru Badami, died on Sunday after a protracted illness.

Naija News understands in an unconfirmed report that the Director General of Media and Communications of Government House, Yola, Solomon Kumangar, made the official announcement in a statement to newsmen Sunday afternoon.

He said the Governor’s father died at the Federal Medical Centre in Yola, the Adamawa state capital at 2.30 pm.

Kumangar said the deceased was an ex-service man who retired from the Nigerian Army in 1984.

He informed that the funeral prayer would take place by 4pm at the Lamido’s Palace in Yola.
