Ruiz Jr Cancels Trip To UK For Rematch With Anthony Joshua, See Why

Andy Ruiz Jr has declared that he would not fight Anthony Joshua in the UK.

This he said while reacting to allegations that Dillian Whyte failed a drug test

The rematch between Ruiz Jr and Joshua is expected to take place this week in Cardiff at the Principality Stadium as the three-belt world champion is due to finalize terms.

Ruiz Jr had been advocating that the second fight takes place in New York and was angered by the news of Whyte’s reported failed drug test.

On Wednesday, news emerged that Whyte had failed a drug test just days before his fight with Oscar Rivas last Saturday.

On hearing this, Ruiz Jr hit out at Joshua saying: “I’m not going to the UK for the rematch.”

Joshua has not failed a drug test as a pro and his team have repeatedly referred to him as the most tested boxer in the world.
