The Nigerian Senate has suspended the screening exercise of Friday to reconvene at 4 pm. This they did after screening two ministerial nominees.

Today makes it the third day of the exercise, which started with the immediate past Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

During his screening, Malami stated that “It is my desire to operate within the spirit of the constitution of Nigeria that established the need for integration.”

He added that “In three years 12, 412 criminal cases were successfully prosecuted. During my time as AGF, we increased the balance in FG recovery account from N19bn to N279bn.”

Naija News reports 26 nominees have so far been screened since the lawmakers began screening on Wednesday.
