Former Minister of Labour, Dr Chris Ngige, has said he left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) because it was not doing well.
Ngige made this known on Thursday during his ministerial screening at the Senate.
Speaking to PDP Senators during the screening, he said, “And to my colleagues from the other side of the aisle, I left the party when it was not doing well but the party is waxing strong.”
Naija News reports that the Senate had on Wednesday commenced the screening of the 43 ministerial nominees that President Muhammadu Buhari had sent to the National Assembly.
Ngige is one of the two ministerial nominees from Anambra State.
