ASUU: Apostle Johnson Suleman Warns Buhari Govt Over Lingering Strike

Suleman Advises Buhari On Shiite Clashes

Senior Pastor and General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministeries, Apostle Johnson Suleman on Thursday charged President Muhammadu Buhari to dialogue with members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, (IMN), also known as Shiites.

According to the popular clergyman, the continuous use of force against the sect protesting the non-release of its leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky would only lead to more casualties.

Naija News recalls the Shiites had on Monday during another round of protest in Abuja, burnt down an emergency point of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA.

Several persons were also injured in the clash between the IMN and security operatives.

However, Suleman in a series of tweets, lamented the spate of killings and high-level of insecurity across the country.

“In as much as I strongly condemn the activities of Shiites members, I equally advise the fed govt to dialogue with them. When people are emotional over a cause, you don’t go forceful on them.there will be casualties on both sides. Dialogue now, please.

“The level of killings/insecurity in Nigeria is worrisome. No one can deny it’s a reality. its audible to the deaf and visible to the blind, anything doable to curb blood flow is welcome. Dialogue now please,” Suleman tweeted.
