Boko Haram: Captured Aid Worker Begs Buhari, CAN (Video)

A worker for the Action Against Hunger, a non-governmental organisation in Borno State, captured by the Islamic State in West Africa (ISWAP), has pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to rescue her.

Naija News reports that ISWAP is a faction of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group. Recall that the Action Against Hunger had disclosed that its members were attacked by terrorists while heading to Damasak. The organisation disclosed that two drivers and four health workers are still missing after the attack by ISWAP.

Breaking: President Buhari Swears In Mohammed As CJN

President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed as the 18th substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).

Naija News Understands that the new CJN took his oath office at a brief ceremony inside the presidential conference room

Mohammed, who took over from the immediate past and suspended CJN, Walter Onnoghen, was screened and cleared by the Senate last week.

The Economic Financial Crimes Commission have sealed Rochas Foundation College, located in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

Operatives of the EFCC have also sealed East High Primary and Secondary school, Owerri which Naija News understand belongs to Rochas Okorocha’s first daughter, Uloma Nwosu. Also sealed is All-In Supermarket, Owerri, said to belong to a member of Okorocha’s family.

Ministerial Appointment: Nwajiuba Dump Accord Party For APC 24hrs After Nomination

Emeka Nwajiuba, the house of representatives member representing EHIME MBANO/ IHITE Uboma/ Ubowo Federal Constituency, who was recently nominated in the ministerial list, has defected from the Accord Party to the All Progressives Congress.

The defection of the lawmaker was announced by the Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Wase while reading a letter from the lawmaker.Nwajiuba was nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari as a ministerial nominee and he has now decamped to the ruling APC.

The Deputy Speaker added that Toby Okechukwu would lead a delegation of the House to support Nwajubia for his screening at the Senate.
