The Desert Foxes of Algeria were on Friday crowned champions of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Egypt.

With the Teranga Lions of Senegal finishes as runners up and the Super Eagles of Nigeria grabbing the bronze medal.

With five goals and one assist striker, Odion Ighalo emerged the top scorer of the competition to take home the Golden Boot award for the top marksman.

With the Senegal football team grabbing the Fair Play award.
