Boko Haram: NYSC Reopens Borno Camp After 13 Years

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, has dismissed reports that it will start paying corps members N30,000 allowance this July.

Speaking to PRNigeria on Wednesday, Ibrahim revealed that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration is yet to give NYSC a go-ahead on the implementation of the new national minimum wage.

According to the NYSC DG, “When there is an increment and we have been notified, we will communicate the heartwarming decision to our corps members through appropriate channels.

“And certainly, the management will make sure that our corps members are paid according to the new increment.”

He urged corps members to only source information from the NYSC verified social media accounts.
