Pa Reuben Fasoranti, Afenifere leader, while speaking on the death of his daughter, Funke Olakunrin, stated that Nigeria is at war.
He stated this on Sunday when the former Ogun governor, Gbenga Daniel, and other sympathisers paid him a condolence visit.
In a video online, the Afenifere leader who was in tears stated in Yoruba that the country was at war, and the Fulani herdsmen are attacking people and occupying their farmlands across the country.
“May God continue to protect us because we are at war. When we go to the farm we meet them (herdsmen) there; that even scares us. We cannot go to our fathers’ land again.”
“If we plant crops, they (herdsmen) won’t allow it to be. So we must continue to pray and may God continue to answer our prayers.”
Recall that Femi Adeshina, in a statement had stated that President Buhari condoled with the Afenifere leader, wishing him the comfort of God, and fortitude to bear the great loss.
“He also assured that security agencies would spare no effort to apprehend the culprits, and bring them to justice”, it added.
