An agent for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2019 presidential election in Nigeria has revealed some of his experiences in Borno State. The agent, Babagana Kukawa spoke at the resumed hearing of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja on Monday as the 37th witness for the PDP and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

2. Atiku vs Buhari: Unknown Gunmen Attack PDP’s Witnesses

Some witnesses expected to testify for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate Atiku Abubakar at the presidential election petition tribunal have been attacked by unknown gunmen. Dr. Livy Uzoukwu, the lead counsel for the PDP and Atiku/Obi at the Tribunal informed the court that the witnesses were attacked on their way from their various destinations as they were coming to the court to testify against the alleged fraud in the last February 23, 2019 elections.

3. Atiku Vs Buhari: INEC Cancelled Results In PDP’s Strongholds In Kaduna – PDP Agent

The 24th petitioners’ witness of the Peoples Democratic Party, John Makama, has stated that the results of the election in the stronghold of PDP in Kaduna State were cancelled by the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission. Makama served as the collation agent of PDP in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State during the February 23, 2019, presidential election.

The Kingsmen of President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, disputed his victory at the February 23 Presidential election. Naija News reports that Buhari’s kingsmen disputed the return of the President by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the winner of the presidential election at the presidential election petition tribunal which resumed hearing on Tuesday, July 9.

5. Presidential Tribunal: Atiku Calls 9 Additional Witnesses (Full List)

The Presidential Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and his party, on Tuesday, called 9 witnesses who testified in his petition praying the presidential election petition tribunal to void the election of February 23 on grounds of non-compliance with electoral laws, violence, thuggery, non accreditation of voters and non qualification of Buhari to contest the election. Naija News reports that the witnesses which included President Muhammadu Buhari’s kingsmen disputed the return of the President by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the winner of the presidential election at the presidential election petition tribunal which resumed hearing on Tuesday, July 9.

President Muhammadu Buhari has challenged the admissibility of the form containing his bio-data at the presidential election petition tribunal. According to NAN, this happened on Monday at the resumed sitting of the presidential election petition tribunal in the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and it’s Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP‘s witness, Ijeoma Peter Obi, at the presidential election petition tribunal today, stated that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, used the server for the transmission of election results of the February 23, presidential election. Obi who stated that he is an Information Communications and Technology expert declared also that he transmitted results from polling units to the INEC server as Registration Area Technician shortlisted and trained by INEC for the 2019 polls.

9. Atiku vs Buhari: PDP, Ex-VP Head To Supreme Court Over INEC Server

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party and its Presidential candidate in the 2019 Presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, have said they will challenge the dismissal of their application to be granted access to inspect the central server of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Naija News recalls that the former Vice President and his party had prayed the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to grant them access to inspect the central server allegedly used by INEC to transmit results during the 2019 general elections.

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, has prayed the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to strike out Atiku Abubakar’s petition against President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election on the ground that he is not a Nigerian by birth.
