Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Sunday paid a condolence visit to the leader of Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti over the death of his daughter, Mrs Funke Olakunrin.
Naija News reports that the 94-year-old Afenifere leader’s daughter was reportedly killed by some suspected Fulani herdsmen on Friday.
Speaking during his visit, Osinbajo stated that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari would explore options to secure highways.
He stated that such methods may include deploying soldiers towards addressing the growing cases of insecurity in Nigeria.
Osinbajo told The Punch, “As you know, I am here to commiserate with the families of Olakunri and Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
“This is a massive tragedy, as you can imagine.
“We have seen it replicated here and there, which is kidnapping death and killings.”
