Fire Guts Popular Supermarket In Abuja

An Inferno on Tuesday gutted a popular supermarket in Abuja, ‘Amigo.’

Naija News reports that the famous and well sought after the supermarket is also known as ‘4U,’ located in Wuse 2, Abuja, was attacked by the inferno at around 1:30 pm, Tuesday afternoon, destroyed goods in the supermarket but was eventually put out by firefighters at 7:30 pm.

While confirming the report, the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Fire Service, Jerry Timvh, said that the fire outbreak affected only the warehouse section of the store.

Finally, RCCG’s Adeboye Breaks Silence On Protest Against Him

Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has said he is not silent on issues that concern Nigeria.

Naija News reports that Eedris Abdulkareem had led other artistes like Baba Fryo, Felix Duke and Charley Boy, demanding that the general overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, speak on the RUGA settlement project proposed by the Federal Government.

In a statement Olaitan Olubiyi, public relations officer of the RCCG, Adeboye said that he is committed to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) who are mandated to speak on issues affecting the church and the nation.

Photos: Omokri Releases Proof That INEC Transmitted 2019 Election Results Through Servers.

A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has released some of the documents he claims, shows that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) used computer server for electronic transmission of the 2019 election results.

Omokri, had earlier said that the documents with him have the URL address of INEC Nigeria’s server.

Recall that INEC had denied claims by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, that it had no server for election results.

Umahi made this threat while swearing in the head of the service and senior special assistants to government.

The event took place at the exco- chambers government house Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital city. He further expressed his shock at the rate Ebonyi people gunned for political appointments, saying that the people of the state should think of something else other than politics.

Shi’ites: Reps Advice FG On What To Do With El-Zakzaky

The federal government has been urged by the members of House of Representatives to obey the court orders directing the release of Ibrahim el-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN).

Today at the plenary, the lawmakers warned that if the FG does not adhere, the IMN members could wreck more harm than they have done. El-Zak-zaky was arrested and detained in 2015 when the group better known as Shi’ites clashed with a convoy of the chief of army staff in Kaduna state.

Just In: Atiku Speaks On Nigeria’s Increasing Debt Profile

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has lamented Nigeria’s increasing debt profile under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Naija News reported that the Debt Management Office (DMO) on Wednesday disclosed that the Public Debt Data comprising the domestic and external debts of the Federal Government, States government and FCT stands at ₦24.947 Trillion.

DMO said: “At ₦24.947 Trillion (US$ 81.274 Billion) as at March 31, 2019, the Total Public Debt grew marginally by 2.30% when compared to the figure of ₦24.387 Trillion (US$ 79.437 Billion) as at December 31, 2018.

Just In: NJC Tells Buhari Who To Appoint As CJN

The National Judicial Council (NJC) on Wednesday urged President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).

The NJC made this known by Soji Oye, spokesman of the council, after its emergency meeting held earlier today.

The Council also recommended names of judges to President Buhari to appoint as Chief Judges and Grand Kadis for eight states – Lagos, Anambra, Ebonyi, Niger, Taraba, Kano, and Jigawa states.

Aisha Buhari Breaks Silence On Rape Allegation Against COZA Pastor

Nigeria’s First lady, Aisha Buhari has broken her silence on the rape allegations leveled against Pastors and religious leaders in the country.

Through her verified Twitter page today, Aisha Buhari asked the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu to swing into action in the alleged case of rape against founder and senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo.

The first lady shared a video where some reporters of TVC were discussing the rape allegation against the COZA pastor.
