Eagles Battle Bafana Bafana For AFCON Semi-Final Slot

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will on Wednesday, take on the Bafana Bafana of South Africa as the two teams clash in the quarter-final stage of the AFCON 2019 tournament.

Last time the two teams clashed, it ended in a 1-1 draw but the South African team had earlier defeated the Eagles 2-0 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium before the draw in Johannesburg.

The winning team after Wednesday’s game will be rewarded with a semi-final place in the on-going Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

To get to the quarter-final stage, Naija News recalls Nigeria defeated defending champions Cameroon in the previous round, while South Africa shocked host nation, Egypt.

The quarter-final fixture between Nigeria and South Africa will be played at the Cairo International Stadium and the kick off is 8pm (WAT).
