Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has claimed that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, is more popular that South-east governors.

The chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) made this known in a post on his Twitter page on Monday.

Fani-Kayode stated that politicians and traditional rulers cannot match the wanted IPOB leader in terms of followership.

“There is no man that is as popular in the East today as Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,” he said.

“All the Igbo Governors, legislators, politicians and traditional rulers put together cannot match him in terms of mass followership and popularity.

“He has captured the imagination of the Igbo youths.

“He stands for an ideal and he believes in the total emancipation of the Igbo nation.

“I have met this man and I have weighed his soul by looking deep into his eyes.

“Rarely have I seen such passion, strength, commitment, fortitude and courage displayed in the Nigerian political space,” Fani-Kayode wrote.
