A lifeless body of a 10-year-old pupil of Dela Mog school was found lifeless inside a bucket in the school premises located at Raji Oba Street, in the Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos state.

Naija News understands that the school pupil identified simply as Joy was found dead on Friday.

The circumstance surrounding Joy’s death is still yet to be ascertained as at the time of this report.

She was said to have left her parents for school on Friday, with no trace of illness. She was until her death the only child of her parents.

A source told Naija News that Joy had left home from school early Friday but did not return back home at the close of school activities; a development that led to the search of the student.

In the cause of the search, she was found dead in a blue bucket used to reserve water within the school premises, although the bucket was met empty.

A resident who identified herself as Alero, said; “this is startling. Nobody can tell her the child died, but blamed the school as the management was supposed to look after the girl. “We suspect foul play.”

While reacting to the incident, one of the teachers who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that the late Joy was a special child and lovable among her peers.

It was gathered that the Policemen from Gowon estate division who were contacted, evacuated the body, and arrested the owner of the school for possible questioning.
