Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Saturday urged the Super Eagles of Nigeria to boost the spirit of Nigerians.

Naija News reports that the Super Eagles will take on Cameroon in the last 16 clash of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) holding in Egypt.

The Super Eagles have not been impressive in the tournament so far, beating Burundi and Guinea by a lone goal and losing 2-0 to debutants Madagascar.

Atiku also witnessed the loss of Osun State at the Supreme court by his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a post on his Twitter page, the Waziri of Adamawa State disclosed that he will be cheering Nigeria to victory against Cameroon.

Atiku wrote: “I pray that the SuperEagles will give our spirit a boost in today’s game against Cameroon.

“Like millions, I will be cheering you to victory. Soar Eagles, go make us proud. #TotalAFCON2019.”
