Breaking! Police Release Senator Abbo

The embattled senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Elisha Ishaqu Abbo, has been released on bail by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command.

The lawmaker who has been in controversy for some days now, over a video which leaked where he was assaulting a nursing mother at a sex toy shop in Abuja, was arrested by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command.

Abbo had earlier tendered an apology to Nigerians and his victim, Bibra, over the incident.

He had also presented himself to the Police for investigation on Thursday.

Naija News understands that the first-time Senator was not just granted bail after answering questions asked by Police, but he was released because the lady he assaulted was not around to testify and give her own side of the story.

A police source said the victim traveled out of Abuja to attend a burial ceremony of close family relation.

The Police are expected to resume their probe once the lady returns.
