Angry Imo Youth Set Police Station Ablaze 

Youths in Umuoke, on Monday, set the Umuoke Obowo police station ablaze after the death of one middle-aged Ikenna Ogbunigwe who was allegedly killed by a policeman in the area.

Ogbunigwe was confirmed dead at Mercy Hospital in Umuoke wher ehe was rushed to after he was allegedly shot by a Police officer in the area.

The youths who invaded the Police in the afternoon hours carted away firearms and released the detainees at the station.

Reports reaching Naija News reveal that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) also narrowly escaped being lynched by the mob.

The reports suggest that the trigger-happy policeman reportedly opened fire on the deceased during a minor argument at a restaurant; a situation that triggered the action of the Irate mob.
