1. Election Tribunal: Atiku, PDP Set To Present 400 Witnesses

The Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Monday told the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal that they are ready to present 400 witnesses to prove that the party defeated the All Progressives Congress and its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, at the February 23 election.

The opposition party has 14 days to tender all documents they need to prove their case.

2. Minimum Wage: NLC Issues Fresh Warning To State, Federal Governments

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has urged the federal and state governments to speed up the process and implement the new minimum wage of N30,000 to Nigerian workers.

This is as workers across the country eagerly anticipate the implementation of the new minimum wage which President Buhari had severally expressed the commitment of his administration to implementing.

3. Gunmen Sack Police Station, Kill DPO, Others

Suspected gunmen on Monday morning stormed a police station in Agudama community in Yenagoa Local Government of Bayelsa State, killing four police personnel including the Divisional Police Officer (DPO).

The gunmen were reported to have carted away rifles, ammunition and police uniforms from the station.

4. Court Orders FG To Take Over Jonathan’s $8.4 million And N9.2 billion

The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos State on Monday ordered former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan to forfeit $8.4 million and N9.2 billion to the Federal Government.

In her ruling, Justice Mojisola Olatoregun submitted that the money is reasonably suspected to have been obtained as proceeds of crime and Mrs. Jonathan could not prove that she earned the money legitimately.

5. PDP Snubs NEC Parley With Political Parties

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday shunned the parley with political stakeholders organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Naija News understands that the parley had about 60 political parties in attendance but PDP was reported to be absent.

6. COZA Pastor, Fatoyinbo, Steps Down

The Senior Pastor of the Common Wealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, has stepped down.

Naija News reports that Busola, a celebrity photographer and wife of singer, Timi Dakolo, had accused the pastor of raping her.

7. Presidential Election Tribunal: Atiku, PDP Reduce Days To Call Witnesses

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku Abubakar have agreed to cut down to 10 days the period the law prescribes for them to call their witnesses.

They disclosed this to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal during the hearing on Monday.

8. IGP Adamu Orders Manhunt Of Gunmen Who Killed Police Officers In Bayelsa

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has reacted to Monday’s attack on a police station in Bayelsa State which resulted in the death of four operatives.

Recall Naija News earlier reported that suspected gunmen on Monday morning stormed a police station in Agudama community in Yenagoa Local Government of Bayelsa State, killing four police personnel including the Divisional Police Officer (DPO).

9. EFCC Reveals When It Will Arraign Saraki In Court

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has revealed that its plans to arraign the former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on charges of alleged money laundering and looting is still on course.

The anti-graft agency is accusing Dr. Saraki of looting the Kwara State treasury during his time as Governor of the state between 2003 and 2011, Naija News reports.

10. Cabal: Pro-Buhari Group Drums Support For Abba Kyari

The Buhari Diaspora Support Organisation, has thrown its weight behind the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari over allegations of running a cabal that has held President Muhammadu Buhari hostage.
