1. Election Tribunal: Atiku, PDP Set To Present 400 Witnesses

The Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Monday told the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal that they are ready to present 400 witnesses to prove that the party defeated the All Progressives Congress and its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, at the February 23 election. The opposition party has 14 days to tender all documents they need to prove their case.

2. Presidential Election Tribunal: Atiku, PDP Reduce Days To Call Witnesses

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku Abubakar have agreed to cut down to 10 days the period the law prescribes for them to call their witnesses. They disclosed this to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal during the hearing on Monday.

3. Presidential Election Tribunal: INEC, Buhari Lose Bid To Dismiss PDM’s Petition

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has rejected moves by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and President Muhammadu Buhari to have the petition by Peoples Democratic Movement against the 2019 election dismissed. PDM and its presidential candidate, Pastor Haminchi Habu are challenging the declaration of Buhari as the winner of the election by INEC.

4. Tribunal Gives Judgement In HDP’s Case Against Buhari’s Victory

The presidential election petitions tribunal resumed sitting on Tuesday as it heard the case by Hope Democratic Party (HDP) challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari at the February 23rd presidential poll. HDP also dragged the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) before the tribunal over its decision to postpone the presidential election from February the 16th to February the 23rd without any legal backing.

5. INEC Server: Presidential Election Tribunal Gives Ruling On Atiku’s Petition

After much ado, the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal today declined the application by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar to inspect smart card readers and the server for the February 23 presidential election. Delivering ruling on the application, the five-member panel of justices unanimously dismissed the application.

6. Atiku vs Buhari: PDP, Ex-VP Head To Supreme Court Over INEC Server

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party and its Presidential candidate in the 2019 Presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, have said they will challenge the dismissal of their application to be granted access to inspect the central server of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Naija News recalls that the former Vice President and his party had prayed the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to grant them access to inspect the central server allegedly used by INEC to transmit results during the 2019 general elections.

7. Atiku vs Buhari: APC Makes ‘Huge Demand’ From Tribunal Over Atiku’s Citizenship

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, has prayed the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to strike out Atiku Abubakar’s petition against President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election on the ground that he is not a Nigerian by birth. Naija News reports that the ruling party made the demand on Thursday, June 13, before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal headed by Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba.

A popular traditional medicine practitioner (herbalist) in Anambra State, southeast Nigeria, Igwe Onyeachonam Ofomba, has predicted that Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, in the 2019 general elections, will win at the tribunal. Naija News recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared President Muhammadu Buhari who participated in the election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, winner of the February 23 Presidential election.
