Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo has been re-elected as the secretary general of the International governing body that regulates the cost of oil production in the world, Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

While confirming the appointment of the accomplished oil technocrat on Monday night at the end of the 176th meeting of OPEC member nations in Vienna, Austria promise a nine-month extension of the global oil production cut under the declaration of cooperation among member states.
