The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has called o the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, Bola Tinubu, to shelve any ambition of becoming the President of Nigeria in 2023. Naija News reports that the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chuks Ibegbu, made the group’s position known, in an interview with journalists on Friday, June 28 in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

4. Tension For El-Rufai As Tribunal Takes Decision On Recount Of Votes

The election tribunal sitting at the State High Court in Kaduna State will soon decide on whether it will grant a recount of votes for the senatorial, gubernatorial and presidential elections, Naija News understands. Recall that the Peoples Democratic Party and the gubernatorial candidate had prayed the courts for a recount of the votes following alleged manipulations of results by the ruling APC.

5. National Assembly: APC Names Principal Officers

The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday reportedly named its Principal Officers for the Ninth Senate. The ruling party reportedly reached the decision following weeks of negotiation and lobbying.
