The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has claimed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Presidency are fighting over positions in the yet to be constituted ‘Next Level’ cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari. This was made known in a statement on Saturday by the National Publicity Secretary of the main opposition party, Kola Ologbodinyan.
Members of the Imo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, are locking horns over the ministerial slot for the State in President Muhammadu Buhari‘s “Next Level” cabinet, leading to petitions and counter-petitions. In a petition which was addressed to President Buhari, some APC support groups in the southeast State asked the President not to consider the duo of former Imo Deputy-governor and former Senator representing Imo West in the National Assembly as ministers.
The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has called o the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, Bola Tinubu, to shelve any ambition of becoming the President of Nigeria in 2023. Naija News reports that the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chuks Ibegbu, made the group’s position known, in an interview with journalists on Friday, June 28 in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
The election tribunal sitting at the State High Court in Kaduna State will soon decide on whether it will grant a recount of votes for the senatorial, gubernatorial and presidential elections, Naija News understands. Recall that the Peoples Democratic Party and the gubernatorial candidate had prayed the courts for a recount of the votes following alleged manipulations of results by the ruling APC.
