1. President Buhari Swears-In RMAFC Chairman, Members

President Muhammadu Buhari has on Thursday, swore-in Mr. Elias Mbam the Chairman of the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The President also swore in thirty Commissioners for the commission.

2. President Buhari Reveals When Payment Of New Minimum Wage Will Start

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday gave further assurance on the commitment of his administration to implementing the new minimum wage.

The President used the opportunity to also call on state governors and employers in the private sector to work towards providing a living wage for their workers.

3. Graduates Who Skip NYSC Can Contest For Governorship – Court Insists

A federal capital territory (FCT) high court has ruled that graduates who didn’t take part in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme can’t be disqualified from governorship election.

This was stated following a suit brought against Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun, by Iyabo Anisulowo, a former senator.

4. Election Tribunal Dismisses Another Petition Against Buhari

The Presidential Election Tribunal has on Wednesday dismissed the application seeking the withdrawal of Hope Democratic Party (HDP) from the petition challenging president Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election.

Justice Mohammed Garba, while giving the ruling, held that HDP and it’s Presidential candidate in Feb. 23 general election, Chief Ambrose Owuru, remained consenting plaintiffs in the eyes of the law.

5. Next Level Cabinet: Amaechi Raises Fresh Alarm About Those Trying To Tarnish His Image

The immediate past minister of transportation, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, has alleged some “heavily funded” campaign to smear his image.

In a statement made available to Naija News on Thursday by his media team, Amaechi revealed that the aim of the campaign is to damage his character and reputation.

6. Ganduje vs Sanusi: Court Adjourns Suit Brought By Kingmakers

Justice Ahmed Tijjani Badamosi of a High Court sitting in Kano state has adjourned for further hearing a suit brought before it by the Kano Emirate Kingmakers against the state governor and seven others over the creation of four new Emirate councils.

The Plaintiffs’ Counsel, Lateef Fagbemi SAN and the Defence Counsel, Ibrahim Muktar both argued their cases before the Judge on Thursday.

7. Presidential Election Tribunal: INEC, Buhari Lose Bid To Dismiss PDM’s Petition

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has rejected moves by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and President Muhammadu Buhari to have the petition by Peoples Democratic Movement against the 2019 election dismissed.

PDM and its presidential candidate, Pastor Haminchi Habu are challenging the declaration of Buhari as the winner of the election by INEC.

8. Buhari: Presidency Beef Up Security As Ministerial Nominees Screening Begins

Security agencies have commenced the screening of ministerial nominees from states as President Muhammadu Buhari constitutes his cabinet.

9. 2023: Chief Adebanjo Reveals Why Buhari Will Not Hand Over Presidency To Tinubu

The National leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu and some Yoruba leaders has been accused by the leader of the Afenifere group, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, of deceiving President Muhammadu Buhari that they are in support of his government.

He stated that they are deceiving the President with the hope that the presidency will support the zoning of the 2023 presidential ticket to the Southwest.

10. Provide Proof That I Stole 67 Vehicles – Okorocha Dares Ihedioha

Rochas Okorocha, Imo West Senator, has dared his successor, Governor Emeka Ihedioha, to show evidence that his wife and family members carted away 67 vehicles belonging to the state.

Okorocha also gave Ihedioha a seven-day ultimatum to do so, asking him to publish the particulars and details of the vehicle of the N50 billion allegedly diverted by his family.
