The official website of the Nigerian Police Service Commission (PSC), on Monday, crashed.

Naija News reports that the website crashed early Monday, June 24. This online news platform as at the time it accessed the website of the Police at around 12:00 am on Monday, understands that the site displayed a Bandwith limit extension error.

The error is sure to have been caused by the massive number of crowds who visited the website of the PSC (http://www.psc.org.ng/) in a quest to confirm the release of the shortlisted names of prospective Constables who are seeking employment with the Nigerian Police.

The site crashed after the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) finally released the list of candidates shortlisted for its 2019 recruitment.

Naija News reports that the Police had through its PSC website on Sunday, June 23 announced the release of the list and urged all candidates who applied to open the PSC’s URL to check for their names via the website.

The statement advised shortlisted Candidates to check their email accounts to confirm that they have been shortlisted for the screening exercise and also to confirm the date, venue and time for screening.

According to the PSC, the screening of shortlisted applicants for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Constables will begin on Monday, July 1, 2019, in the 36 States of the federation and the Federal capital territory Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
