Arsenal’s Bid For Celtic Defender Rejected

Celtic have rejected a 15 million pound bid from Europa League finalist Arsenal for defender Kieran Tierney

However, there are strong hopes that the Gunners, who are yet to agree on personal terms with the player, could still tie up a deal for the defender.

Unai Emery looks to bolster his defence that leaked in 50 goals in last season English Premier League.

Celtic would be open to taking a fringe player as part of the agreement but are still looking for closer to £25m (€28m/$32m) for the defender.

Chinese Club Suspends Arsenal Target Carrasco

Chinese club Dalian Yifang has fined and suspended attacker Yannick Carrasco amid links to Arsenal.

The club are reportedly unhappy with his efforts both on and off the pitch and have punished the player accordingly.

Club boss Choi Kang-hee said: “No one from our club promised that Carrasco can return to Europe in the summer transfer window.

“We just told him that if he can help the team, then the team will support your way back to Europe in the winter.

“However, we also saw what happened in the previous game. The game against Shenhua [on May 26], we told him to be careful, do not be cautioned by the ref.

“But he still deliberately delayed the restart of the game to apply for a yellow card, which led to the suspension for the next game.

“After the suspension, he wanted to return to Europe early. We didn’t want to let him go, but for the sake of the player, we agreed.

“He also promised us he would come back to play the next three games. However, after the international break, he was late and even disappeared. He was also very negative in training after his return.

“After Carrasco returned, we also tried to persuade him to play, but he constantly asked the club to issue a written commitment to promise him a way back to Europe in the winter, which is very unprofessional behaviour I think.”

PSG Set Price For Arsenal Target

Arsenal will have to fork out £13.5 million ($17m) to sign Paris Saint-Germain to sign Christopher Nkunku, according to L’Equipe.

Former PSG head coach, Unai Emery lodged a bid for the midfielder in January but could not agree on a fee for the 21-year-old.

However, the French champions are now more willing to sell Nkunku given they are looking to raise funds by selling players, and Arsenal are expected to again make an offer for the youngster.
