Kano: Why I Was Told To Dethrone Emir Sanusi - Ganduje

A Kano High Court has ordered Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II to maintain status quo in respect to the order issued to Ganduje on May 10.

Naija News recalls that a court has stopped Governor Ganduje from appointing new Emirs in the state.

Delivering ruling on Thursday, Justice Nasiru Saminu noted that the ruling of the court on May 10 was still subsisting pending the determination of the motion on notice.

The judge adjourned the matter until July 15 for hearing.

Meanwhile, some officials of the Kano Emirate Council and others have been invited by the Kano Public Compliant Anti-Corruption Corruption Commission to explain why their foreign medical bills was paid by the council.

This is coming despite the ruling of the court which stopped the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje and the commission from probing the Emir.

The commission called on those affected to appear at the chairman’s office conference room on Monday, June 24, 2019.
