Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo in Ondo state, has started suffering an indefinite shutdown.

The authorities of the institution revealed this in a circular obtained by Naija News on Tuesday, June 18.

In the circular signed by the Registrar, Sule Atiku, the reason for shutting down the school was given but reports says there are issues of industrial relationship between the management and trade unions of the institution.

There are speculations that the lecturers and other staff of the institution have refused to work over unpaid entitlements and salaries.

The statement advised students to vacate the school premises not later than 3 pm on Monday.

According to the statement, the management noted that the closure became imperative in order to forestall breakdown of law of order.
