Ganduje Gives Update On Gorilla That Allegedly Swallowed N6.8 Million

Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has said that discussions were still ongoing to resolve the crisis between him and the Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi and the state government.

The Nation reports that he made the remark while speaking with State House correspondents after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The governor also denied the allegation that Gorilla swallowed N6.8 million from the Kano zoo.

According to him, there was no gorilla in the zoo.

Naija News had reported that the Governor ordered a probe after it was said that a gorilla swallowed the sum of N6.8 million generated from tourists who visited the zoo during the Eid celebrations.

He said a preliminary investigation has revealed that the missing money in the zoo was a case of armed robbery.

Speaking on his meeting with the President, he said, it was primarily to brief him on the security situation in the state and the importance of community policing.
